The battle with Firelord is an extremely unusual one. The Heroes are not trying to defeat him but free him from Galactus’ control instead! All Missions in this game are replaced by the Free Firelord Missions, each of which requires a combination of different tasks. To win the game, Heroes must complete all 3 Missions and finally free Firelord! Torn inside, the Herald’s Master Plan may accelerate the more Missions are completed, unless the Heroes make a personal sacrifice to prevent that. While the conflicted Firelord may still be a danger to the Heroes, he actually acts more like an ally, with his BAM! effect rescuing Civilians, defeating Thugs and attacking Henchmen. All Henchmen are the relentless Annihilus Seekers, enforcers who keep swarming into the game to stop the Heroes from freeing Firelord.
